MARITIME CATERING (SHIP COOKERY COURSE)

Course Duration : 14 weeks

Eligibilty:
  • 10 th standard pass from government recognized board with subjects English, Mathematics & Science with 40% aggregate. English 40% in 10 th /12 th .
    OR 12 th standard (any stream) pass from government recognized board with 40% aggregate.
  • Eye sight: distance vision 6/6 in better eye and 6/9 in other eye and normal colour vision shall be tested by Ishihara test chart.
  • Medical Fitness Certificate from a Doctor Approved by DGS (Original + one photocopy)
Age: 17 ½ years and not over 28 years on the date of commencement of training.

Admission Procedure:
In response to the advertisement placed by NMTC in the Newspapers/Magazines Candidates may apply directly without Company Sponsorship. All candidates are required to fill up the application form and submit it together with copies of their Xth standard mark sheet and School Leaving Certificate. NMTC staff will scrutinise the applications and will inform the candidate the date on which he is required to appear for an Entrance Test followed by an interview. Successful candidates would be advised about the joining formalities.

Location & Duration Of Course:
This is a residential course held at NMTC`S AGRA campus and is of 16 weeks duration. 4 batches are held per year in FEB, MAY, AUG and NOV. The admission forms will be accepted 10 Days before commencement of the courses. Candidates are accommodated in a dormitory with cabins on sharing basis. Trainees are required to stay in the campus throughout the period of training. Meal timings are displayed on the Catering Department notice board and must be strictly adhered.
